If you read this blog on a semi regular basis you’ll know I tend to think pretty highly of Red Bull and their influence/support in the alternative sports world. They really are a sports innovator and tend to put their money where their mouth is when it comes to sponsoring events.
On the flip side, they also do a pretty good job of sponsoring events that might make you scratch your head a little (in a good way… with a big smile). The Red Bull Flugtag taking place in Ottawa on August 3 2008 might not be the pinnacle of action sports, but it certainly looks damn entertaining.
Last year’s Flugtag in Texas looked pretty wild…

Guaranteed it was entertaining. We had high hopes for our craft, Operation Red Bull, but it did not fly. Our pilot bruised his eyeballs!
