Mazda2 Sneak Peek at Geneva Motor Show

14th Mar 2007Good Ideas

Autoblog just posted picts of the brand new Mazda2. It’s compact but super sexy with one of the nicest front ends I have ever seen on a “average” automobile.

Mazda2

The car that will form the basis of the new baby Ford for the US market will make it’s first public appearance in Geneva this week, and we’ve got the official images from Mazda right here. The little machine has a style that fits right in with the current Mazda design language, including the prominent front fender curves and the lower body character line that sweeps up into the rear fenders. Engines for Europe include a trio of new gas engines of 1.3 and 1.5L displacements ranging from 75hp to 103hp. The two should be arriving on our shores sometime in 2008.

It’s no hybrid but it certain will make for a nice inner city car. It definitely looks like a fun little car and since it’s a Mazda I’m certain it will deliver on the promise of “Zoom Zoom”.

I saw an article on this last week – I love the look! It looks like a smaller, slightly sportier version of my Mazda3 :)
