What Bands Influenced You The Most?
Ok new meme time. Everyone I know has been influenced by music in a multitude of ways. There is always a debate raging and it is hard to argue that music doesn’t play a major role in helping people define themselves. I want to know what bands influenced people the most.
In my case, it can be narrowed down to 2 main bands.
The first being The Almighty Trigger Happy from Toronto circa 1994 – 2000-ish. They never made it huge but they certainly made a mark on the Canadian punk rock scene.
The other band has to be Screeching Weasel from Chicago. These guys channeled the best of Ramones style punk but put their own spin on it. They were part of the Lookout! Records scene and Ben Weasel was one of my favourite Maximum Rock’n'Roll columnists.
There were others but these 2 stick out in my head still to this day. Who were yours?
